Trump ain’t going anywhere

You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time. — Abraham Lincoln

My gut feel is that Donald Trump is gonna freak us all out for another four more years. And yup, as you gathered, I am no Trump fan. But, I am no fan of Biden either.

Trump is stoking the growing division in America and I am pretty sure he will do everything and anything he can to stay in office. When it comes to dirty tactics he is the world’s best. And a bully of note.

The thing is, if you came down from another planet and listened to a debate between Trump and Biden who would you vote for?

If Biden is going to win it needs to be by a landslide. As my one American friend was recently telling me, if it is a close call, Trump is going to contest it, and things will get ugly. The only way Trump will ever leave the oval office is if Biden annihilates him, but I can’t see this happening. My view is that it is going to be a tight race, and hence my conclusion is that Trump is not leaving anytime soon.

At this moment, Trump and his supporters are convinced they are going to win, and at the same moment, Biden and his supporters are convinced they are going to win. One side is going to be seriously disappointed, and they are for sure going to behave like the election was not won legitimately. This anger is going to reach a boiling point. The constitutional crisis that will be ignited by the upcoming election is going to be devastating.

What seems to be a common view online with various leading commentators is that if Biden does in fact win, the stock markets are going to come tumbling down. And if Trump wins there are going to be riots in the big cities that we have never seen the likes of.

US debt has reached its highest level compared to the size of the economy since World War II and is projected to exceed it next year. You can bet, that if Trump stays in office, then prepare to see him default on the national debt. That is my view. He will offer 50 cents on the dollar, take it or leave it. Even more crazy times are coming — the Great Depression II.

November is two months away. We are living in interesting times. Fasten your seat-belts. This is going to be a helluva ride with a lot of twists and turns, and big, crazy bumps.
